Millakanda Estate is situated in the Kalutara district close to the town of Bulathsinhala . The Estate lies at a low elevation of 100 feet. The Estate’s principal crop is tea and covers an extent of 121.3 hectares.
Following the Land Reform Commission Act of 1975, ownership of the Millakanda Estate was taken over by the Government and managed by the Sri Lanka State Plantation Company. On privatisation of the Estate in 1992, Horana Plantation PLC.
