Mahanilu

Mahanilu Estate is situated the in Upcot, Maskeliya in the Nuwara Eliya district. The Estate is 10Km from Hatton via Norwood and 15Km from Maskeliya via Upcot. The Estate covers an area of 236 hectares (580 acres). The scenic Mahanil Oya River also winds its way through the Estate.

TThe principal crop on the Estate is tea and is grown on a steep terrain at elevations between 4500 and 5000 feet. The Mahanilu Estate produces a quality leaf that produces a thick deep tea.
