Surrounded by the exuberant greenery of nature, our oil palm plantations are a pristine and tranquil environment providing a balanced life for all our employees and local communities. The plantations are established on unutilized rubber lands and have a landbank of 250 Ha. Social and eco-friendly initiatives are prevalent in our plantations. We engage in water management practices, beekeeping for pollination and activities that improve community livelihoods.
Our holistic approach to sustainable palm oil cultivation ensures we are utilizing land efficiently, conserving soil and water quality, and alleviating global warming. Our efforts in being environmentally and socially considerate are recognized from external verification. We are the first company in the world to be accredited for Certified Oil Palm, awarded by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC),
A reshape to the Horana Plantations business model was initiated in 2013 by diversifying the production base from rubber to anon-traditional commercial crops, including Oil Palm. Horana Plantations has the recognition of being the first Oil Palm grower in the world to qualify for the forest Stewardship Council Certification.
