Eildon Hall Estate is situated in the Nuwara Eliya district in Lindula. From Talawakelle, the Estate is approximately 11Km. The Estate covers an area of nearly 160 hectares (395 acres) and lies at an elevation of 4430 feet. The principal crop on the Estate is tea, of which most are mature plants

Originally Eildon Hall was owned by Lunuva (Ceylon) Tea & Rubber Estates Ltd and managed by Harrisons & Crossfields Ltd. Following the Reform Commission Act, the Estate was managed by the Janatha Estate Development Board. Subsequent to privatisation in 1992, the Estate was taken over by Horana Plantations PLC.
